Family Testimonials ....
Navigate Family services has been a godsend to me and my family. Without Navigate I don’t know what I would have done. They have helped my 12 yr old navigate her thoughts and feelings as she is dealing with Anxiety, she was refusing to go to school and at times wouldn’t leave the house. Navigate has helped guide me to extra services I’ve needed with my own past trauma, which I wouldn’t have even known what I needed or where to start. My eldest daughter needs ongoing treatment and care which she is seeking through Navigate. She recently needed psychiatric hospital treatment and navigate helped guide and support us through that time. As a family, we would genuinely be lost and without support if it wasn’t for Navigate. Our family and our community would be lost without them.
Navigate family services has been engaged with me and my two sons for the past 3 years they have helped me and my two boys so much with all our appointments to help us to get on track and kick goal's there is so many struggling families out there that just simply need their help so they can kick goal's and achieve a lot as we want all our kids to shine. there should be more services state wide like this. The services provided by Navigate are quite literally life saving. I had tried every avenue for over a year to try to have my 11 year old daughter assessed for ADHD and ASD, before out of desperation I contacted Navigate. I should have contracted them in the first place. Within 24 hours after hearing our story they sent through a list of professionals and organisations to support my daughter and our family, plus they had organised access that same month to a paediatrician and psychologist which is absolutely impossible to do as an individual in Tasmania. This was absolutely vital as my daughter also had severe depression, anxiety and suicidal ideation; in part because we weren’t able to access the professional help we had been needing for over a year. The kindness, understanding and support the team at Navigate have given to us and the access they arranged to other professionals and a support network is incredible. Their work is essential and in our case, truly life saving
Navigate family services Martine and Kristy at Navigate family services have been a massive piler of support, help and guidance to myself and my son over the last three years. I don’t know where I’d be if they weren’t in our community. Me having multiple issues, having some-one to talk to and not thinking I’m losing my mind and then also get support for my kids and knowing they understand and support without judgement in a small community is everything. My son was supported for anxiety among things and because of the support from Navigate he is now able to come off medication. With access to allied health service being very hard to come by, with lists a mile long. For us to have access to someone else in Hobart it would be a three hour turn around alone, let alone the time to pick kids up for school and having to leave work early. Having navigate in our community makes access possible with very little time missing from school or work.
